General Assembly

Dear Discovery School Parents,

The Discovery School’s second General Assembly meeting is scheduled for this Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. at the school’s cafeteria.  There will be 4 vacancies on the Board of Directors.

Nominations will still be accepted the day of the General Assembly, as specified in our by-laws.
ART EXHIBIT AND MUSIC PERFORMANCES – Also on Saturday we will be having our annual Art Exhibit and a special appearance of the Discovery School´s Choir, Jazz Band, and Discovery´s Violin Club.

DPTO SUPPORTING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY – The DPTO has offered the class that has the most parents attending the General Assembly this Saturday, May 16 a PIZZA PARTY! Make sure you come and help your child’s class earn this prize! The DPTO will also be selling delicious baleadas, pupusas and drinks for the parents, students and teachers attending the GA, all at very attractive prices!

CHILD SUPERVISED ACTIVITIES FOR THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY – In order to help our parents attend the General Assembly this Saturday, the school is providing supervised activities in the Early Childhood area for those parents who would like to bring their children to school on Saturday. There will be movies, arts & crafts, board games and word games available for those who find child care on Saturday a difficulty!

Researcher will write a script, newscaster will report, producer will direct filming and be responsible photos, video and special effects. These will be presented May 18 & 19, 2015, This is a project grade and is very important to your grade this quarter.
