Grade 8 – The Beginnings of Greek Civilization

The Minoan Civilization flourished on Crete during the Bronze Age, from about 2700 B. C. to 1450 B.C. It ended suddenly possibly due to a volcanic eruption on the on the island of Thera.

The Greeks lived in coastal areas centered around the Eastern Mediterranean.

The geography and thus the development of Greece was shaped by it’s geologic history.
